What is Norwood 6?
At Norwood 6 Stage the brand or bridge of hair dividing the frontal areas, temporal areas (front corners), and vertex (crown) in Norwood 5 has disappeared, leaving some “peach fuzz” or fully bald areas. A “horse shoe” pattern is formed by hair remaining on the back and sides.
Signs to Look For:
- Nearly Complete Baldness on the Crown, with a Peach fuzz appearance on the crown almost merging with the receding hairline.
- The frontal hairline continues to recede, often leaving only a thin band of hair along the sides of the head, with the temples completely exposed.
- A large bald area between the crown and the receded hairline is mostly bald, creating a wide, noticeable bald patch.
- The remaining hair on the sides and back of the head becomes very thin and sparse, with minimal coverage.
