What is Norwood 3?
At Norwood 3, the hair loss deepens, forming a more noticeable triangular or “widow’s peak” pattern at the temples. The temporal areas are often significantly thinned or fully exposed, with the frontal hairline clearly receded. While the crown may show little thinning, the hair loss at the front is more advanced.
Norwood 3 Signs to Look For:
- Hairline recession starts to recede at the temples, forming a more pronounced "M" shape.
- The forehead may appear wider due to the thinning hair at the temples.
- Possible slight thinning at the crown, but the hair loss is more concentrated at the front and sides.
