What People Have to Say…

“The Doctor and His Team Are Amazing”

The Doctor and his team are amazing. I felt extremely comfortable there. The doctor’s bedside manner is perfect. Dr. Blumenthal at the Washington, D.C. office is super friendly and fun. He is also very knowledgeable and reassuring. I recommend him to everyone! I am a woman of African descent who suffered with traction alopecia for those wondering.

“Don’t Go Anywhere Else!!”

I had a FUE procedure done at another establishment about a year ago. The results were terrible. So I went and saw Dr. Blumenthal for a consultation. Two weeks later I had my procedure done and can’t say enough about my experience with natural transplants. Dr. Blumenthal and his team made me feel very welcomed. He took his time to draw out my hairline, and areas of importance. He’s definitely a perfectionist. All I can say is, I wish I’d gone with natural transplants the first go around. I highly recommend anyone looking for a hair transplant, to go to natural transplants! Don’t make the same mistake I did the first time and go to a regular plastic surgeon. And to Dr. Blumenthal and his team: thank you for making this procedure quick, easy, and entertaining. You guys really are awesome!

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have questions about hair transplants and the process? Read this FAQ to find out more information.

Aside from the initial administering of local anesthesia, there is no pain associated with the hair transplant procedure. The initial anesthesia is administered by our highly trained staff and Licensed Medical Doctors using near-painless techniques. Most hair loss patients describe a mild burning which lasts only seconds and is quite tolerable.

After the hair transplant procedure is completed, patients say that the process was actually enjoyable and not at all what they anticipated. It is not uncommon for some hair loss patients to feel some mild soreness or tightness the first 24 hours after the procedure.

After the hair restoration surgery our team of doctors provide pain medications to all patients for use after the procedure, but many of our patients choose not to use them.

A lot of hair loss patients will tell you the hardest part of the process is the waiting. They grow anxious from the time they decide to have a hair transplant to the day of the actual procedure itself. This sort of “hair transplant anxiety” is completely normal. As with any medical procedure, hair loss patient anxiety is a common tendency. Most hair loss patient experience thoughts of apprehension and doubt during the time leading up the hair transplant procedure. Hair restoration anxiety can be decreased with proper education about the procedure and by speaking with other hair loss patients who have undergone their procedures.

We have many patients who are happy to share their experience with other prospective hair restoration patients. This often helps alleviate any anxiety.

When factoring hair transplant cost, you should recognize that the number of hairs transplanted by our doctors in one session might take other clinics multiple sessions to achieve.

Natural Transplants Hair Restoration Clinic and our doctors offer exceptional value to our patients because we dedicate the maximum amount of time and energy to the patient, leading to unprecedented density and world class results.

Our pricing is patient specific, but generally ranges from $6,000 to $15,000. All costs of a hair transplant are fully disclosed in advance and will never change. There are never any added costs or hidden costs. No surprises.

Most normal activities can be resumed 1-2 days after a procedure. For the first several days post-procedure it’s important to take it easy, limit excessive motion, and avoid touching your scalp. We will thoroughly educate you on how to wash the area and you will be provided everything you will need for your recovery. If you have sutures, they will need to be removed by a medical professional between 10-14 days after procedure. If you are outside the local areas of our clinics you may use a primary doctor, urgent care, walk-in-clinic or other medical professional to have the sutures removed. And all follow-ups can be done remotely—so no need to ever return if unable to.

Returning to work is occupation dependent. Please consult with your doctors about your particular occupation requirements regarding when it’s safe to return. For a non-physical “desk” jobs you can normally return to work 2 days post-procedure. Jobs requiring excessive physical activity should be discussed with our doctors in order to put an appropriate plan together for the first 2 weeks.

Yes. Fortunately, a modern day, hair transplant, when done correctly, should be indistinguishable from natural hair. This is due to the advanced techniques and the single hair grafts in the frontal hairline. Staggering the hairline, and placing the grafts at the correct angle is very important in creating a natural appearance.

In the early days of hair transplants back, in the 1980s and early 1990s, hair transplants resulted in large unnatural plugs and a “dolls hair” appearance, which was extremely unnatural and obvious. For that reason, hair transplants got a bad reputation as being unnatural. However, with the evolution of advanced techniques and the single hair graft, hair transplants have become a very natural way to correct male pattern baldness. Also, with the Internet being a primary tool of research, there is more accountability for results than ever before. Chances are, you see people every day that I’ve had hair transplants that you don’t realize have had them!

It’s important to know the limitations of one hair transplant surgery and set achievable goals. This is always discussed with each client during consultation and in person before the procedure.

We never promise anyone that we can cover their head from front to back, or give them a full head of hair in one hair restoration procedure. While in some instances it can happen for some patients, it’s never a guarantee. Some clients may elect to have a second hair transplant procedure to complete a large area of loss or to double up on the density. All of this will be discussed with you in detail with our knowledgeable physicians.
