Is the hair transplant procedure painful?
Aside from the initial administering of local anesthesia, there is no pain associated with the hair transplant procedure. The initial anesthesia is administered by our highly trained staff and Licensed Medical Doctors using near-painless techniques. Most hair loss patients describe a mild burning which lasts only seconds and is quite tolerable.

After the hair transplant procedure is completed, patients say that the process was actually enjoyable and not at all what they anticipated. It is not uncommon for some hair loss patients to feel some mild soreness or tightness the first 24 hours after the procedure.

After the hair restoration surgery our team of doctors provide pain medications to all patients for use after the procedure, but many of our patients choose not to use them.

A lot of hair loss patients will tell you the hardest part of the process is the waiting. They grow anxious from the time they decide to have a hair transplant to the day of the actual procedure itself. This sort of “hair transplant anxiety” is completely normal. As with any medical procedure, hair loss patient anxiety is a common tendency. Most hair loss patient experience thoughts of apprehension and doubt during the time leading up the hair transplant procedure. Hair restoration anxiety can be decreased with proper education about the procedure and by speaking with other hair loss patients who have undergone their procedures.

We have many patients who are happy to share their experience with other prospective hair restoration patients. This often helps alleviate any anxiety.
What does a hair transplant cost?
When factoring hair transplant cost, you should recognize that the number of hairs transplanted by our doctors in one session might take other doctors multiple sessions to achieve.

Natural Transplants, Hair Restoration Clinic and our doctors offer exceptional value to our patients because we limit the total number of patients to one per day and dedicate the maximum amount of time to giving you unprecedented density.

Our pricing is patient specific, but generally ranges from $6,000 to $15,000. All costs of a hair transplant are fully disclosed in advance and will never change. There are never any added costs or hidden costs. No surprises.

Are hair transplant financing options are available?

What is the recovery time post hair restoration procedure?
10 days after the hair restoration procedure you can resume normal activities. For the first 2-3 days post-procedure its important to rest, limit motion, and only take a body shower while not touching your scalp. Days 4-10 post-procedure you are able to gently wash the scalp once or twice daily. Sutures will need to be removed by a medical professional between 10-12 days after procedure. If you are outside the local areas of our clinics you may use a primary doctor, urgent care, walk-in-clinic or other medical professional to have the sutures removed.

What is the HUE (High-Yield Unit Extraction℠) Method?
HUE stands for High-Yield Unit Extraction℠. This cutting edge procedure was developed by Dr. Matt Huebner and is exclusively used by the team of doctors at Natural Transplants Hair Restoration Clinic to produce unsurpassed results and maximum density. The concept is simple--to extract and move the MOST hairs possible in a single session. This is achieved by a highly-skilled doctors and highly efficient technicians, meticulously trained to maximize the donor tissue by limiting transected donor hairs. The entire procedure is performed in our state-of-the-art clinics, utilizing the latest in medical equipment to achieve the best hair transplant possible. This is in stark contrast to the outdated FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) method, which is basically hair plugs rebranded, using smaller diameter punches. FUE is also time consuming, requiring multiple sessions and smaller grafts and ultimately leaves patients with less hairs moved, little density and multiple circular scars over the entire donor area.

To learn more about our exclusive HUE Method visit our High-Yield Unit Extraction℠ page or contact us today.
Why is the Natural Transplants process superior to FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction)?
FUE or Follicular Unit Extraction limits the amount of hairs moved in one hair restoration procedure to a maximum of around 4,000 hairs. Worse yet, some FUE and machine hair restoration procedures max out at 1,000 - 2,000 hairs and are limited to certain hair types. Overall, the FUE process can take up to 10 hours spread over one or two days.

In contrast, our Licensed Medical Doctors have yielded 9,000 hairs in one hair restoration procedure totaling less than 6 hours. In order to achieve the maximum density and coverage, there are no limitations on the number of hairs transplanted in one procedure. The results we obtain are unmatched by any other hair surgery procedure available on the market.

FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) is touted as a "new method,” but in reality it’s not as it was first used in 1988. The only thing new about it is the ability to harvest the donor follicles one at a time. This was done similarly years back when doctors offered the hair plug procedure. Plug procedures utilize one punch at a time using a four millimeter instrument. With FUE, it’s still the same single punch procedure, but now with a 0.08 millimeter instrument.

Our team of doctors advise anyone interested in a hair surgery procedure to focus on the final results delivered by doctors and clinics. Prospective hair replacement patients should review before and after images, references, and the maximum yield of hairs transplanted, prior to making a decision.
Why should I choose Natural Transplants over another Doctor or Clinic?

  • With our cutting-edge HUE procedure, our doctors can achieve up to 6-7 hairs per graft, significantly more than competitors.
  • The Doctors and technicians at Natural Transplants will give you focus and attention during your procedure.
  • With our exclusive HUE (High-Yield Unit Extraction) Method, we can achieve 30% more density in a single procedure for hair transplant patients who are Norwood Class 7.
  • Using our efficient HUE Method, we can complete a procedure in under six hours, with more than 95% of grafts surviving & becoming permanent.
How do you provide superior value when compared to other Clinics?
As you can see from our pricing page, our doctors puts hair loss patients results first, not profits. We don’t believe in charging patients excessive amounts for one hair transplant procedure, or creating an artificially high graft count by continually segmenting grafts into smaller pieces to get a high yield.

In the best interest of the hair loss patient, we take as many hairs as possible while leaving behind an imperceptible hair transplant donor scar. Using only micro grafts for the frontal hair line and double grafts only when necessary, we can double the density while achieving total naturalness.

Be cautious of consumer testimonial websites that tout certain doctors or hair loss clinics. In reality, most are commercial hair restoration sites that only promote doctors who have paid an endorsement fee. They frequently supply specifics as to how many grafts they had, and in some cases break down the graft totals into how many hairs they received.

For example, "I received 3,000 grafts which comprised 5,500 hairs.” In some cases they break it down even further: “I got 2,800 one hair grafts, 1,300 two hair grafts, and 33 three hair grafts.” Take note that in most cases the average hairs per graft equates to under two. With a typical cost of $4-$6 per graft, you are looking at hefty sums of money and multiple procedures.

Additionally, the long-term results can be limited in terms of coverage and density. If both value and results are important to you, then our hair transplant clinic is the best solution for you.

At Natural Transplants we combine grafts together to achieve proven and maximum hair restoration results, all in a single hair transplant procedure, while limiting costs.
Is hair loss common and what are my options?
At Natural Transplants we understand the emotion of going through life with a bald spot or thinning hair is like walking around a mall with no pants on. Hair loss treatment patients often feel ashamed and struggle to deal with hair loss or thinning hair by wearing hats, using various cover-ups, or growing the side hair long enough to comb over the top.

The truth is that there are 60 million men and women walking around the world with bald spots. The good news is there are options! The first thing you should do is see a hair specialist--someone who only deals hair restoration surgery every day. They will ensure your hair loss is either normal hair loss, or standard Alopecia.

The doctor can then recommend a few different medications, oral or topical, that can help slow or stop the loss. It is extremely important that you take this step first. If not, you may be taking a giant step into hair transplantation while continuing to lose your original hair. This will not create the best result for your hair restoration, and may cause you even more frustration down the road. Once you have been properly diagnosed and a solution has been prescribed, you’ll have to decide to either wait or move forward with a hair transplant.

If your expectations are reasonable and you are happy simply not losing more hair, than we recommend the wait and see approach. If you’re unable to live with the bald spot, it’s time for a hair loss specialist to surgically move hair follicles from the back of the head into the bald spot. If you are ready to consider a procedure, kindly visit our transplant process page or contact us.
What do you charge per hair graft?
We receive many inquiries daily from prospective hair loss patients who want quotes on our per hair graft price for hair restoration. For a true comparison, it’s impossible to base a decision on a per hair graft price unless you know the number of hairs per graft, which varies by clinic.

In a single hair graft scenario, 3,000 grafts equals 3,000 hairs. In a double hair graft scenario 3,000 grafts equals 6,000 hairs. Most people have no idea how many hairs per graft doctors and hair restoration clinics are providing when researching costs.

The better questions to ask are how many hairs will you receive and how will the clinic divide them up for maximum coverage? You will find that most doctors divide single or double hairs to fill a large area. Natural Transplants, Hair Restoration Clinic uses specific measurements that are clear and cannot be altered or manipulated like a graft.

For example, our Licensed Medical Doctors will take up 35cm2 from the average patient. Based on the density of the hair transplant patient’s donor tissue, this can yield up to 6,000 hair follicles, with typical results ranging from 3,000 - 4,000 hair follicles, equating to addition of 30-40% density, for our standard HUE (High-Yield Unit Extraction℠) procedure. For procedures employing our HUE+ (High-Yield Unit Extraction Plus®) method, the end result is up to 9,000 hair follicles, with typical results ranging from 5,000 - 7,000 hair follicles, moved in a single hair replacement session.** This is the best method to measure hair transplant cost and the most effective when it comes to coverage. At Natural Transplants we combine grafts together to achieve proven and maximum results in a single procedure while limiting costs. For additional information on this topic please visit our pricing page or contact us.

** We ALWAYS attempt to obtain the maximum amount of hair for every patient but we are limited by donor area, tissue elasticity, head circumference and hair density which varies patient-to-patient. As a result your hair follicle numbers can vary. Some patients may require multiple procedures to achieve the desired coverage and density. If you have questions about your donor area, hair density, or required number procedures to achieve your goals please contact your Doctor.
I have seen $2 hair grafts advertised. Is that price too good to be true?
At Natural Transplants we receive patient inquires about competitors advertising “low- priced” $2 hair grafts. The reality is those hair transplant campaigns are launched by hair loss marketing companies with the goal to collect and book as many hair replacement patients as possible for one week out of the month.

Assume 20 individuals book procedures at $2 a hair graft. If those 20 hair loss patients are all paying an average of $4,000, that equates to $80,000 for the week. The hair loss marketing company then quickly assembles a staff and starts calling hair transplant doctors.

Telephone calls to doctors would be along the lines of, "Hi Dr. X, I have $80,000 in business waiting for you next week. At 20% commission, that is $16,000 to you, we will pay for your flight and hotel. Will you take the patients?”

Major problems with this process include:

  1. Sharing your hair transplant surgery time with high numbers of additional hair loss patients, meaning the doctor will spend very little time with you individually.
  2. The staff may be seriously diluted. Additionally, the hair replacement staff could be brand new with no experience because the hair loss marketing company subcontracted a low paid hair transplant staff.
  3. They may offer 'up sales' of additional grafts at a low price, meaning the hair restoration doctor adds some "extra time" which increases your bill.
  4. They may offer pressured up sale post-procedure kits where they’ll offer an unnecessary postoperative kit and vitamin mix for a few hundred additional dollars. At Natural Transplants, Hair Restoration Clinic we don’t believe in these tactics.

With Natural Transplants there are no surprises when you arrive for your procedure. All the hair transplant costs are fully disclosed in advance and that will not change upon arrival. You will know in advance of your hair replacement procedure your exact costs - guaranteed.

I would like to cover my entire bald spot and cure baldness, is that possible in just one procedure?
Regardless of who you choose for your hair loss treatment, there is no guarantee any hair restoration clinic can cover your whole head from front to back and cure baldness, in one procedure. At Natural Transplants we normally cover half to two thirds of the scalp in one hair replacement procedure; sometimes more.

It’s important to know the limitations of one hair transplant surgery and set achievable goals.

We never promise anyone that we can cover their head from front to back, or give them a full head of hair in one hair restoration procedure. While in some instances it can happen, it’s never a guarantee. Some people elect to have a second hair transplant procedure down the line to either make up for more native hair that has continued to fall out, or because they want more density.
What are the benefits of having a hair transplant versus taking hair loss medications?
Many hair restoration patients ask us about the benefits of having a hair transplant versus medications offering thinning hair remedies including Propecia (finasteride) and Rogaine (minoxidil). The situation for each patient is varied and the answer is dependent on the amount and pattern of a patient’s hair loss. To learn more please visit our hair loss medications page or contact us for a free consultation.
Are all hair transplant surgeons and clinics equal?
Unfortunately, there are more bad hair transplant doctors and clinics doing procedures than good ones. Before getting a hair transplant with us or any of our hair replacement competitors, we encourage you to do your homework and ask questions. Natural hair transplants don't happen by accident as it requires a skilled and experienced doctors to achieve natural, maximum, and long-lasting results for hair loss patients.
Will hair transplant results be compromised if I don't live in the immediate area?
The great thing about our hair transplant solution is you get the same hair transplant results whether you live next door or on the other side of the world. At Natural Transplants, we provide the same exemplary care and service to all hair loss patients. The results are worth the trip regardless if you’re traveling 1 mile or 10,000 miles.
I like to wear my hair short; will I be able to do so without a hair transplant scar showing?
At a half-an-inch hair length our doctors guarantee nobody will see a hair transplant scar. The only instance where someone would be able to detect a hair transplant scar is if your head is shaved.
