HUE (High-Yield Unit Extraction) Hair Transplant
HUE stands for High-Yield Unit Extraction®. This cutting edge procedure was developed by our Chief Medical Director, Dr. Matt Huebner and is exclusively used by the team of doctors at Natural Transplants Hair Restoration Clinics to produce unsurpassed results and maximum density. The concept is simple--to extract and move the MOST hairs possible in a single session. This is achieved by a highly-skilled doctors and highly efficient technicians, meticulously trained to maximize the donor tissue by limiting transected donor hairs.
The entire procedure is performed in our state-of-the-art clinics, utilizing the latest in medical equipment to achieve the best hair transplant possible. This is in stark contrast to the outdated FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) method, which is basically hair plugs rebranded, using smaller diameter punches. FUE is also time consuming, requiring multiple sessions and smaller grafts and ultimately leaves patients with less hairs moved, little density and multiple circular scars over the entire donor area.

How is the HUE Method different from the traditional Strip Method known as FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) or FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction)? Let’s start with the amount of donor tissue moved. The HUE Method moves MORE TISSUE from the donor area (in the back of the head) than the traditional hair replacement Strip Method known as FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) and certainly more than any antiquated FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction). The way this is achieved is simple--Natural Transplants, High-Yield Unit Extraction® donor sections are longer and wider than the traditional Strip Method known as FUT. At MINIMUM, the HUE Method can achieve 30-35 cm2 of tissue moved in a single session. Besides utilizing the hair transplant donor area in the back of the head, the HUE Method utilize the often neglected strong hair on the sides of the head as well. To further maximize the amount of hair moved, the HUE+ Method known as High-Yield Unit Extraction Plus℠ allows the team at Natural Transplants to achieve a donor section that is wider than 1 cm wide, resulting in massive amounts of hairs moved, often upwards of 40-50 cm2. The end result is the addition of up to 10,000 hairs moved in a single hair replacement session. The HUE and HUE+ results speak for themselves!

The HUE Method relies on technicians who are highly skilled, experienced and meticulously trained. This is a vital part of any hair transplant process and often overlooked by potential patients doing their research. Our team has over 45 years of combined experience ONLY in hair transplantation. Many plastic surgeons, while skilled, may do hair transplants a couple days per month to supplement income. They may do hair one day and then breast augmentation or liposuction the others. This results in a staff that lacks the experience and the regular practice to keep their skills sharp and honed. The end result is technicians who cut the donor tissue up inefficiently, transecting hair follicles and wasting valuable donor hair. This produces results that are sub-par and often lacking in density. In contrast, our entire staff is passionate about hair and only do hair transplants each and every day. Our Licensed Medical Doctors and highly trained staff have been carefully selected by Chief Medical Director, Dr. Matt Huebner and are an integral part to the great results that the HUE Method produces. This is the “HIGH-YIELD” of the HUE Method.

The high-yield UNITS are termed such because the HUE Method uses grafts that produce a higher end-density than the traditional Strip Method known as FUT. This is based on the fact that the types of grafts used in the HUE Method often have double or triple the amount of hair than the traditional method. As potential patients do their research, they are often focused on the question of “How many grafts am I getting?” or “How much do you charge per graft?” The entire hair industry puts all the attention and focus on the number of grafts and cost per graft, so it’s no wonder that this becomes the what patients believe is important. What patient’s should be asking is how many HAIRS they are getting. How much tissue (in square centimeters) is moved from the donor area? This is a better indication to the amount of density and coverage a patient will get. The HUE Method focuses on utilizing the APPROPRIATE types of grafts to achieve maximum results. For instance, in the frontal hairline, it is important to use single hair grafts to achieve a natural hairline. Behind the frontal hairline it is equally important use high-density grafts with anywhere from 6-8 hairs to achieve meaningful density. Other practices would cut up a 6-hair graft into 6 individual 1-hair grafts and charge 6 times as much! This is dishonest and leaves the patient with very little density. The HUE Method focuses maximizing the amount of donor tissue moved, cutting it up efficiently into the appropriate sized grafts to produce incredible hair replacement results.

HUE+ (High-Yield Unit Extraction Plus®) is a method that is possible for a select number of patients that have moderate to above-average elasticity in their donor area. Simply put, in some patients it may be possible to achieve a donor tissue segment is wider than 1 cm. After the HUE donor tissue is taken out (30cm long and 1 cm wide), if the edges of tissue are able to be brought together easily and with very little tension, under the discretion of our Licensed Medical Doctors, more donor tissue can be harvested as the donor tissue segment is made wider. This results in upwards of 50cm2 of donor tissue being transplanted. The end-result is upwards of 10,000 hairs! Often the entire head is able to be covered in a single procedure! This is a unique process that traditional Strip Method known as FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) and outdated FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) procedures can’t even come close to in regards to the amount of hair transplanted. HUE+ results speak for themselves.

Natural Transplants has hundreds of happy patients, many of whom are happy to share their experiences with potential patients. We focus on one patient at time and guarantee our doctors and technicians will give you 100% focus and attention during your procedure. Other clinics do multiple procedures per day with the doctor going from room to room to oversee technicians who often perform the majority of the hair replacement procedure. In contrast, our doctors take pride in being involved with every step of the procedure and assures that each detailed step is achieved perfectly.

For HUE+ we use a unique pricing structure based on the amount of donor tissue transplanted. Please contact us for more information.
